Working Preacher Books

A new series of compelling, timely books on biblical preaching.

Luther Seminary and Fortress Press are launching a new book series called Working Preacher Books. We believe that God uses good preaching to change lives. Our books will help preachers make the Bible come alive every time they preach.

Working Preacher Books will provide:

  • engaging exegesis for lectionary preachers;
  • practical insights on the art and craft of preaching;
  • innovative ideas about integrating topical series;
  • and more!

What you won't find is someone else's sermons, sermon outlines or illustrations, or multivolume, academic works that weigh down your bookshelf. Instead, think of Working Preacher Books as an extension of, where we take deep dives on the topics, issues, and questions that matter most to ministry professionals as you engage a complex world and changing church from the pulpit.
